This is one of these long forgotten posts Ive been mean to make for a while. Justin is truly one of the most original and creative photographers I have ever seen. I saw some of Justin's work several years ago, long before I started getting serious about photography. I remember spending at least 2 hours trying to understand what I was seeing and then busting out laughing once I figured out what it was and then thought about the trouble he had to go through to get it. He will definitely will make you smile. The man turns coke cans and garbage bins into cameras for crying out loud. He also has mastered a technique of taking "6 Month" exposures. You are reading that correctly....the shutter speed was 6 months! What about strapping a small pinhole camera onto a boomerang and throwing it? :)
The image you see above is REAL, as in no Photoshop Trickery. This was taken with a camera placed inside his mouth! He sells his "mouth cameras" complete with instructions for about $25-$30. When I started my 365, I wanted to try to understand his technique, so I ordered one and did it for
Day 66. It took several weeks to get the film developed because there are only 2-3 labs in the US the still develop the film required, (not too hard to figure out once you think about it).
If you are looking for a spark of brilliantly strange creativity, Look no further, Justin is your man! Check out his website for more (Click on the Pin Hole to enter his site! :)
