Zip Lining on Maui
This weekend, one of my former students from Alabama visited Maui. My dad and I took her Zip Lining. I need to do more of these just for fun videos- it is good to get away from work every once in a while.

Went up to the Iao Needle this afternoon, the “hike” was about a quarter mile. Looking for a little more action, I sung by the Iao Botanical Garden. There was absolutely no one there besides the owner. It was a pretty good garden, but I didn’t have my Macro Tubes, just the Canon 7D and my Tamron 18-270 (I am more and more impressed with this lens- for general purpose, I just don’t think there is anything better).

It’s good to be shooting again. I also think we have a 2011 Maui Wallpaper Pack in the works. 🙂
This was one of the worst movies I have seen in a very long time. I cannot recommend it. I will say I was very happy to see one of my High School Classmates in it (all I will say she is the beautiful brunette)- I am really happy for her and it looks like she is getting roles in bigger films.
Maui finally lost some of the clouds and vog today and we had a wonderful sunset. Only shot for a few minutes, but it was great to get out. I have optimized this for those of you who have iPads and would like to save it as a screen saver. Maui finally lost some of the clouds and vog today and we had a wonderful sunset. I had the chance to test out an App made by one of my friends and wanted to help him with the announcement. eCard Express is a super neat idea because it is somewhat similar to Contract Maker in that it uses templates which you can then customize into different types of cards. For the price of $1.99, I just don’t see why anyone who sends out cards on a regular basis wouldn’t want to try it out. I know I personally am awful about remembering birthdays and sending cards, and this really gives you a number of options (including last day delivery).
Sometimes it really is better to send a real card, but for the times I have forgotten or missed, I wish I would have had this earlier.
Alex has also told me that he has a number of Promo codes for those of you who are willing to leave feedback. If you are interested, please say so in the comments. If he can get you a code, he will! (Free Apps!)
Here is the official Press Release:
PRESS RELEASE
eCard Express for iPad – Personal and Business Greeting Cards for Everyday Use.
Toronto, Ontario – Announcing that Bartsoft Inc., a Canadian based company, have released the new festive greeting card application for the iPad – eCard Express HD. This application enables users to create and customize greeting cards with high quality stickers, frames, and their own photos or images from the photo library. eCard Express HD is intuitive, very easy to use, and very efficient at producing birthday greetings, dinner invitations, congratulations cards and customizable frames.
Bartsoft Inc. describes the app as “the best way to stay in touch with friends, family, business partners and customers through a fun and interactive ecard application.”
With eCard Express HD users have access to two card types – frames and greeting cards. Frames are filled with the user’s chosen photo from their photo library. If no photo is the desired option, however, the user can choose from a number of digital cards from all the popular categories such as Birthday, Valentine’s Day – Love Cards, Congratulations, Invitation, Get Well, Sorry, Thank You, National Holidays, Religious Cards just to name a few. Both can then be shared instantly through email, Facebook and Twitter, or saved to the photo library. The app also allows users to save their creation to “My Cards”, which is essentially an in-app library of all user-saved creations and a very convenient way to put together ecards for iPad users on the go, since it does not require a network connection until actually sending the cards.
While it may seem complicated, eCard Express HD is very intuitive and straightforward even for a novice iPad user. With a very well designed user interface and Retina display graphics it makes the creation process significantly more enjoyable.

– Effortlessly create colorful and appealing greeting and photo cards just the way you want them.
– Large selection of over 200 frames and cards makes your every choice a perfect one.
