Watch the trailer and you will know exactly what this film is about and what it is trying to do / explore. Because of this, it felt like there was an identity crisis, if you go down this path, it had to be a horror movie, because, well thats what happens when superheroes go bad. The problem with this, was there was no empathy developed for the antagonist. They tried, but it fell short because it was mostly done through pictures or drawings, not a real human connection.
There are some definitely impressive things about the film, such as being independently shot over 29 days (seriously, this is ridiculously amazing). It is good filmmaking work, but as a story, I just wasn’t into it, even if we are exploring legendary ideas of a different polarity. This has been done already, they are called villains.
Join me as I take you behind the scenes of an independent TV Pilot with my friend writer Lex Hogan and her fiancé Director Michael Shumway. Learn what some of the crew’s responsibilities are and the equipment they use. There were many, many other crew members I was unable to interview unfortunately. I will keep you posted as to when the final product is available to be viewed.

While the cinematography and choreography were just amazing, this movie had writing and editing problems. At least the first 20 minutes should have been cut, with another 40 or so from the rest of the movie. The writing seemed to just be making up stuff just to fill out the time. Some of the fight sequences are exhausting, but still quite entertaining.
Not as strong as the first two because of this, but still worth seeing if you enjoyed the others.
I shot this the other night within 10 minutes of the last picture I posted. That one was taken with an iPhone X, this with a Canon RP, on a tripod, with a 24-105 f4 and filters. Isn’t it amazing how much better a large sensor camera does? Not taking anything away from the iPhone. It’s just a different world with larger sensors and real lenses. #luckywelivehawaii #sun #sunset #maui #canonrpI shot this the other night within 10 minutes of the last picture I posted.
