Seems like my videos on you tube are quite popular….a number of photographers and their forums are posting them on their own websites. I never really expected anyone to do that, but I guess its a good thing, and it seems that they help people. Every once in a while I will hear from a student or get an email from someone who says they enjoy them, and really that makes it all worth it.
I wish I had more photographer friends here in Alabama, or heck anywhere for that matter. Heather Odom is really the only one who has contacted me from around this area. I know other photographers check the blog, so if you are from Alabama please dont be shy and drop me an email. Id like to have more photographer friends. 🙂

Hey Michael! Today was the first time I’ve checked the blog in several days. We had a somewhat sudden death in my family and that has run me behind a few days. I did get the 40D video and although I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, I plan on trying to do that tonight after church. I can’t wait! Quick question……after your DVD post last week I was wondering….which do you prefer and why….-R or -RW (I suppose I don’t fully understand the difference)?
Sorry to hear about ur loss.
Hey Heather- I am so sorry to hear about the death in your family. The format of your disks, R- or R+ depends on your drive. RW simply means that those types of disks can be erased and re-written, where R- or R+ can only be written on once. They are more expensive than R- or R+ disks, but they are usually good for projects that require several test burns, like a video project. Either way, I exclusively use R+, or the dual layered disks, and now only the best grade disks.
Ms. Odom I am one of "Professor Andrew’s" newer students and follow his blog pretty regularly and am so very sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers go out to you and your family.
Proff~ Consider it an honor people look to you for instruction. You are so kind to offer such helpful tools to strangers and you don’t ask for anything in return. I wish there were more people in the world like you. for me finding your blog, u-tube videos, and my favorite ..the online school has been a blessing. I have told so many people about your blog and online school because I have learned so much from you. All I can say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!
Hey Mike What about me??? Pete doesn’t count as a photographer friend?
Heather, I am sorry to hear of your loss.
Of course you count Pete! How many weddings have we shot together? lol Just trying to encourage anyone who might be feeling a little shy to drop me an email! I wish I knew like 30+ photographers in this area. Aside from those I have either worked with or trained….seems like people are shy. 🙂
Well, you know i’m not shy! haha! :o) Yes, email us fellow photogs!
Where are you at in Alabama. I am originally from there myself. I’m from a little town called Dogwood.
Any update on the Nashville Hotel?
