There is something unusual about these 2 images of one of my favorite models, Terra. In fact, there are a few very unordinary things about them. They are part of a new lesson I have coming out in the next few days.
There should be enough clues in both to be able to pick out 3-4 of them. If you can see them….
….what are they?
My spelling is atrocious! lol
Tilt shift?
Great observations. Why in the world would I do something like this? Don’t I have some great wide aperture lenses?
On the first one, could one be the cutting off of the breast and hand?
On the second, is it the background object that looks like its attached to the leg?
You place the focus on the model by using contrast, blurring the background, dutch tilting and adding an angle (perspective). At least, that’s how I see it… Daniel
In the first….selective blur to draw attention to the model’s face…. In the second…complete blur over entire image with over exposure to entire image with exception of model’s face…again draws attention to her face….
tilt shift
…ignore my comment, what do I know!!!
Great input everyone. Many of you have correctly guess aspects of it. I should have the video up on this shortly- I think you guys will find it interesting.
Looks like somebody got a lensbaby.
Can’t wait to see the video
Its hard to understand how you managed the first one if this is SOOC. Her hair and shoulder look out of focus which means you were using a really wide aperture, but I still dont get how you got the tree in focus. Well for me this tree growing up her head is a big -ve one. The second image looks a bit blown away, which washes away part of her right hand.
If I’m not too late..I would like to guess free lensing and a Dutch tilt is what it looks like to me.
Iphone pictures!
