Hi Michael,
I can certainly understand the points with the gray market however here in Australia it is not as clear cut. I just picked up a Canon 7D via gray market for about $1400 however here the body retails for around the $2500 mark.
Thanks for the grey market explanation! Makes me not feel so bad for purchasing a ‘grey’ camera even though I had no idea it was ‘grey’ to begin with.
