In this video John P. Hess from FilmmakerIQ.com sets up this really interesting experiment. His goal was to demonstrate how the creative choices of blocking and camera angles by a director can influence the meaning of a scene. Blocking is the placement and movement of characters within a scene.

At first he uses a control scene to show what a bare bones scene without any blocking would look and feel like. Then he goes on to show different angles, character movement, and camera movement to show what a huge impact these things can have.
