On the surface, we have all seen these kinds of movies before, about a group of people stranded in the wilderness…seemingly without hope.
I enjoyed it and would say this is a definite rental, many of you will want to see it in theaters. Its not for children.
Without spoiling too much, I will go out on a limb here and say it:
I don’t believe that “The Grey” is a movie based in reality, but rather it is a symbolic exploration of “man’s will”. The way the characters each meet their fate has just too much variation for this not to be the case. Watch it and you will see what I mean. Men are only as strong as their will to live. I also think that the wolves represent the fear of men.
