The Knot, a major multi-media publication for all things wedding, did a poll of 16,000 couples to find out how much they’re spending on their wedding day. Turns out wedding photography is up 5% from last year with an average of $2,556 being spent. If you include videography the number jumps to $4,350.

That’s about accurate in the Atlanta market. I wonder if they include "uncle Joe who shot my wedding for $200" into this statistic. Regardless, please never show this chart to my wife. I did NOT spend $5,855 on our engagement ring.
