I have spent many, many hours pouring over the nominees of each category. It was no easy task getting them narrowed down to about 20 or so finalists. (Typically there is a semi-final round, but we will have to skip that this year to finish the contest up). I realize that many of you will be disappointed in my selections. Based on my experience, judgement, and taste, all of which are very subjective, there will be disagreement- just know I spend a tremendous amount of time, money and resources in these contests and I am honestly doing my best job.

If your image didnt make it into the final set, ask yourself why these images did and you will improve as a photographer, and that ultimately is the best prize.

There is no music with the finalists, and you will be able to vote for your favorite below shortly (later saturday). Viewer votes will count as 1 judges vote, it is typically enough to act as a tie breaker.
