I’ve been using and testing the Sony a6300 Alpha Mirrorless camera for the last week. We’ve done some portrait tests which you can see HERE. The full crash course training tutorial is available now. Check it out by CLICKING HERE!
Today I released this quick training tutorial on the external buttons. Knowing the placement of the external buttons is a critical step in not only learning your camera but learning how to use it – fast. When you’re out and about trying to capture those moments there’s usually not a lot of time to think. Learning these buttons will save you time and frustration when it really matters.
Here’s a breakdown of the buttons reviewed:
– Shutter Button
– Mode Dial
– Primary Selector Wheel (control dial)
– Multi Selector Wheel
– C1 Button
– C2 / Garbage (delete) Button
– Power Switch (on/off)
– Lens Release Button
– Force Flash Button
– Menu Button (deep menu)
– Opposite Focus Button (AF/MF & AEL – Auto Exposure Lock)
– Fn Button (function)
– Record Button (video record)
– Diopter Adjuster
– Micro USB Port / Mini HDMI Port / Microphone Input
– Battery & SD Card Slots
Check out the video below and let me know what you guys think in the comments. If you’re interested in the full crash course please leave a comment below and we’ll shoot you an email as soon as it’s available for download.

#1 THANK YOU!!!
I love the video. I just got the camera on Monday from Best Buy.. I had to order it last week. I hear Amazon and Best Buy are sold out of it now.
Your video is the first in depth review on how to use it. I’m a novice so anything I learn will be new.
Thank you for making this. I will be the first to buy the crash course once it’s out.
Thank you Dave! We are working hard to finish it. Be sure to subscribe to my youtube channel, i have a bunch of sony videos on there and more coming. We will reach out to you as soon as it is available. Best wishes!
Love the vid….send more vid on the a6300! Thanks!
