Ive been getting a lot of questions and interest in my 3D Printer. Having really worked with it for a full week now, all I can say is this: GET ONE AS SOON AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN. I highly, highly recommend it. It will change how you think about problem solving.

I was primarily interested in Makerbot because it could do 2 colors, but I have quickly learned it is not so easy to print in 2 colors. Doable, yes, but it is problematic and I print now almost exclusively in one single color (and it has been running non-stop the last few days).

Remember those 3 Maven Adapters I said I had? Lets just say I cannot keep up with making them fast enough now, and another thing, the product itself is evolving. Ill get a suggestion and literally in a few minutes have a brand new feature built into it. If the interest continues, I will have to have a plastic injection molding company mass produce them.

3D Printing is absolutely the future. Whether you realize it or not, most of you will probably have one in your home in the next 2-3 years. Today I needed an extra shoe for my ball head. No problem, it took about 15 minutes to design one, and another 10 to print it up.

As far as the bargain printers go, Solidoodle drives a hard bargain. Their model 2 runs only $500. I am thinking about getting one just to check it out for its value:
