It’s been great to be home and get rested up. Lots of great things going on…LOTS. Looks like we are close to having a name picked for the new charity group. I appreciate all of your input- some of the suggestions are excellent.

One thing I have been surprised at is the number of you who have written asking for more information about some of my gear, or to make suggestions. I have purchased several of these for myself and when they get in I will show you what they are and how they work.

This is what a dry bag looks like:Dry bags come in all sizes and colors, but I am a HUGE fan of the 10L size because it can hold 2-3 changes of clothing and I end up using it as a pillow. Dry bags are made of rubber, or plastic and you roll the top 3-4 times before closing it making water and air tight. When we had the Tsunami warning I placed several lenses and camera bodies into a 20L bag and sealed it.

A word of advice: I really like the clear Dry Bags because it is easy to see what is inside. The non-clear dry bags are a pain because you will forget everything inside and then you have to open it and check.

Dry Bags are excellent for any type of water based activity or sport when you want to ensure you will have dry clothing, gear, electronics, etc at the end of the day. If you have never seen one or tried one out I would definitely recommend investing in a 10L Clear Bag for starters.
