Scott Kelby is a renowned photographer and Photoshop expert. He’s also the president and co-founder of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). Tomorrow Saturday, October 5th is Scott’s Sixth Annual Worldwide Photowalk. It’s the largest photography event of its kind – and it’s totally free.
How it works is local people organize the gathering usually in a major city or place. Photo enthusiasts from that area meet at the designated location and walk through the city socializing, having fun, and taking pictures. Afterward they usually gather at a local bar, pub, or restaurant to have a bite and some laughs. It’s a little late to organize an event in your area, but it’s not too late to join. A lot of cities are booked but I noticed some do still have openings. If there’s not a walk in your area, now would be a great time to start planning for next year.
To kick up the fun a little Scott also includes a photo competition. There are thousand’s of dollars in prizes and all you have to do is submit your best photo from the walk.
