Hi Michael
I have just purchased your crash course for the Nikon D600.
This easily the best buy I have made for many years, it is a great course, your explanations on every aspect of the camera are so easy to understand and the course is very comprehensive.
Many thanks Michael it's a great course.

I have been a fan of Michael's videos on youtube. I bought the D600 crash course after having watched snippets of Michael's free videos on youtube. I am still in the process of downloading them as I write this, but those free videos have already helped me enough to merit this review. More effective in comparison to reading books on the same subject, the process seems faster and easier to understand. Michael's products are highly recommended to anyone with a love for photography and have struggled getting a grip on the multiple dials and knobs on their cameras.

The Nikon D600 crash course is a very comprehensive and easy to understand course particularly for people who are new to photography.
It not only concentrates on the operation of the D600 by taking you through it's many features, buttons and menus, but it also gives you practical examples on the "Basics of photography" such as composition elements.
As someone who has invested a lot of money on an excellent piece of engineering I fully recommend you purchase this course to compliment your learning.
Michael Andrew is an excellent tutor and I will be looking at many of the other photographic DVDS he has to offer.
Whilst you may feel that this DVD is a bit pricey it represents value for money.

I,STUDIED FILM EARLYER IN LIFE AND DRIFTED INTO 50 YRS.OF LIFE LIKE MANY.COMMING BACK INTO THE DIGITAL AGE I BOUGHT AN NICON D 600,TO DISCOVER HOW LITTLE ABOUT TRUE PHOTOGRAPHY I UNDERSTOOD.I WANTING TO IMPROVE ON FROM MY POINT AND SHOOT EXPERIENCES,.WHEN THE CAMERA ARRIVED I WAS AT A HUGE LOSS IN A FEW WAYS.FINDING THIS VIDEO WAS A HUGE TREAT TO GET ME ON THE WAY.STARTING OFF WITH THE BASICS IN A VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND FORMAT(DVD) HAS REALLY SET ME FREE AND THE CAMERA IS MUCH EASYER TO USE.I WAS ESPECIALLY EXCITED ABOUT THE VIDEO ABILITY OF THIS CAMERA,THANKS MICHAEL!!!!!

This video is really LONG! But, it doesn't drag! Not only did I learn about the buttons on my camera and how to use it, I learned how to take pretty good pictures! it came promptly, and was better than I expected! like i Said, it was long but well worth my time and money. I definitely learned a lot more than I would have if i tried to figure it out myself. Great purchase and great video!

I downloaded the "Nikon D600 Training & Tutorial Video" and I can only confirm that it's worth while every cent (by the way: a few ones compared to what You get) I spent to purchase it.
The reasons:
1) HE KNOWS how to teach things. It's not enough to be a great photographer: here it's a matter of how good You are to make things simple and clear to a vast audience.
2) VERY PRACTICAL: not just theory (that is VERY important, by the way) but how to put into practice for REAL shooting.
3) FOR NON-ENGLISH speaking audience, too: you can't miss a single word. He knows he can have an international audience and he knows how to manage it. He speaks slowly and with a VERY comprehensible accent.

In summary: GREAT JOB!!!

Just perfect! As Michael says in the beginning of the video you can see that he is both a teacher and a photographer. Very nice and helpful video. After watching you will never use the "Auto mode" :-) Best regards Jesper Rasmussen

Three stars by Amazon's definition equals "It's okay". That is a spot on description of this video, or more accurately, this compilation of separate videos, edited component style into one title. If you're familiar with YouTube, that's pretty much what you get here. A guy with some amount of knowledge on a subject, sitting on a couch, camera set up in front of him, telling you about the subject at hand. At times, he will go sit on stairs, or (rarely) do a segment more "on location". It ends up being very much like you asked your neighbor to take a Saturday afternoon to show you what he knows about a D600, whom you know has done some wedding shoots for friends, and has owned a D600 for 6 months.

Do not confuse this product with a professional course on the D600 and photography. There is scant professionalism to be found here. But the course is truthfully titled as a "Crash Course on the D600, made for beginners". If they had tacked "presented by an Intermediate" onto the end of the title, that would would have made it completely truthful. You glean a measure of information in this video, and if I talked my neighbor into showing me the basics of the D600 on a Saturday, I would definitely owe him a night out for a steak dinner, so the price of under 40 bucks is OK.

Summary: The bottom line is that while I did get some information out of this video, I'm going to have to purchase an additional class just on the basics of the D600, let alone something to get any advanced user knowledge. But again, it is titled "Crash Course". To give you some idea of how much cutting and pasting has gone into this production, the presenter's hair cuts include: Shaved head; Buzz cut; Below-the-ear, Semi-Hippy; Flat-top w/ Elvis side burns; and maybe some variations in between. The point is, this is a paste-together production, and is inherently lacking because if it. Three stars is probably being a tad generous.

Great Video!!! I have had my D600 for three months now and have not fully used many of the features included with the unit till now. Michael's light humor and direct to the point instructions were most informative. We are fully operational now. My comments to those looking at this product are as follows: "This Video has fast tracked me into using the D600 camera to the max."

I've been a fan of your training videos for several years now and have purchased videos to go with each camera I've owned. I have recently switched from a Canon 7D to a Nikon D600 and assumed (with much regret) that you would not have made a video for a Nikon camera. I was so pleasantly surprised to find your tutorial video for the D600!!!! I am ecstatic beyond words. I've been spoiled by your step-by-step guidance and would be lost without it. Thank you, Michael! :)

Andrea Jones (12.15.12, 3:09pm)
Bought your D600 crash course. One of the best, least expensive, photography investments I've made.

Beth Lambert (12.8.12, 4:19pm)
So I've watched the first part of your course on the D600 and I have to say I'm really impressed. Glen uses the D600 and I use the D800, but we're both watching the course. I am learning so much about MY camera watching this video! As well, love all the general photography tips and training - very well presented and easy to grasp. Thanks so much Michael for putting the work in to creating this really informative and helpful video! Can't wait to get thru the second part now . . .
