The original FuelBand launched in January 2012. The band is worn around the wrist and tracks all of your movements and calories burned throughout your day. It has an hourly reminder for you to get up and move around (for a minimum of five minutes). It comes with an app for I0S (none for Android yet) where you can set goals, unlock achievements, track your progress, and compete with other users in the online community. With the FuelBand Nike hopes to make daily physical activity more fun and game like.

Starting November 6th the updated Nike + FuelBand SE will available for purchase. They are currently taking pre-orders. Some updates include pops of color on the bands, Bluetooth 4.0, weather sealing, and an improved app. It’s better at tracking actual movements rather than just wrist movement.

In an age where jobs require you to sit in front of a computer for hours on end, wouldn’t it be nice to know if you’re getting enough movement throughout your day? To learn more and pre-order your Nike FuelBand SE you can check out their website here.
