Michael
For me I have a interest in the Maven Strap, but not with a Carabiner. I think attaching the strap via a loop or soft device would be better than a large, heavy metal carabiner. Anyway, I may be a user if you can work it out & the price is right.
Thank you for your comment Russ. Yes we are hearing that from some of the users, they love the strap but not so much the carabiners. We include an accessory pack that lets the end users decide how they want to connect it to their gear. Some users won’t even use these on cameras and in those cases the carabiners are handy. If enough people don’t like them however, we will probably remove them. As far as beta testers go, we had over 30 respond (we were looking for 10) so for this round we are good. The price will be reasonable and they should be going on sale in the next 2-3 weeks. We should also have black in stock at that time.We will have some more beta gear coming soon for testing- it’ll be first come first serve. Thank you so much for your comment and interest!
Michael, I was away for 5 days and tried the neck strap out. It was very hot and humid where I was and the strap became very uncomfortable against my neck due to sweating. I have been a Black Rapid strap user for many years so going back to a neck strap is out of the question. Thanks for letting me be a Beta tester. I would have liked for it to work out in the end.
Hi Paul – No worries! I can see if someone is sweating a lot, especially with a heavy camera it could be an issue due to the nature of the paracord. FWIW- the straps are meant to be multi-purpose, so you are not limited to using it full time on a camera, for example, I use one of mine on a file case, which is much lighter and I only use for an hour at a time. Additionally, I carry mine cross chest. In any event-, thank you for helping with the test and for the feedback!
