Awesome, awesome wedding today in Dallas, Texas with Mary Katherine and Chris’ family and friends- so amazingly nice….its late, but I wanted to get a few of the images from the day up…over 5,000 images taken. That is not a mis-type. Also had an awesome time with Alexandra, her first wedding shoot, she did outstanding. I will post more when Ive had a chance to go through them all. Until then, enjoy! 🙂This was one of the most difficult of the night. There was a projector showing a video of Mary Kathrine dancing with her father Jeff when she was a little girl over twenty years ago, and the reception was in a very dark room. Figured it out though and was able to make this work so I am pretty happy about it. 🙂

Wow Michael! your photos never cease to amaze me!!! I love how you manipulate your subjects to get the best possible pictures! We your students are so blessed to have such a talented Mentor and friend, you have such an eye for this. i’m still trying to figure out though what’s the meaning "blue steele" ? I think it’s so cool, Love and appreciate all the advice and tips you give us on here. Will bve buying your crash course 40ddvd soon1 5,000 pictures? thats awesome!!!
Michael~ Thank you so much for inviting me to shoot Mary Katherine and Chris’ wedding with you. You were right, I learned so much in one day! When you told me that you feel like you just played a tackle football game the day after shooting a wedding I honestly didn’t take you serious. Man …was I wrong! Both of my entire arms hurt, my knuckles hurt, my back hurts and I am exhausted. That was hard work but the entire experience was unforgettable and worth every muscle ache! You are such a blessing and an inspiration to me. I can honestly say you are one of the best teachers/mentors I have ever known in my entire childhood and adult life.
I hope you enjoyed some of the photos I took of you working. Maybe you will want to post some of those on you blog. I was amazed that you never slowed down and didn’t mind lying on the ground or even getting in anyone’s face to get that good shot! Having watched your video (Mastering the Canon 40D and numerous You Tube videos) and having the honor of getting the opportunity to see you work helped me fully understand the how and why’s of what you have taught me. It was just like you said, you can read a book and/or watch a video but once your in the position of having to do it really puts things in perspective.
I can’t wait to get your comments on the pictures I took, I only hope I have at least one great shot that will make you proud of me. Thank you again for the UNFORGETTABLE experience, it was such an honor to get to work with you. If ever you have another wedding in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and you would like for me to shadow you and/or "hold the flash" you can count me in! Also, if there is anything I can do to help you market your videos count me in on that as well!
I am looking forward to treating you to dinner and seeing the product of our hard (fun!) work.
It truly was an honor!
Michael – beautiful, gorgeous pictures of course. However … Really love the microphone one! Totally awesome! Hope you are doing well.
Again, etertaining and creative. My favorite is the shot of dad and daughter then and now, and the microphone.
Can’t wait for the next batch!
Wow! Seriously, wow.
thank you everyone! An especial very big thank you to Alexandra who stepped in to be my second shooter for the day. It made a huge difference!
Frank! You have a homework assignment to watch the movie "Zoolander" 🙂
AMAZING….Just AMAZING!!!
Great shots, as always. Is that an off-camera flash being used at the reception? Gorgeous bride! Sometimes, I imagine capturing great images is a wee bit easier when your subjects would look great being shot with a pinhole camera! Thanks for posting these.
