I took a chance on this last week, it was surprisingly good. Its kinda what you could expect if hypothetically speaking Disney took on the horror genre with the intent of scaring you half to death without exceeding a PG-13 rating, which it successfully did. Some of the shots are just beautifully shot. It sort of reminded of “Drag Me To Hell”, Sam Raimi’s comedic ode to horror films (yes, that movie was a comedy, not a horror movie) in that it’s main poster, title, even previews market it right out of the group that would like to see it.

Will it give young children nightmares? Yep. But if you like scary movies and haven’t seen it, you will enjoy it.
