Ant with a beard? Do they all have beards? Awesome pics!
I love the shots, the clarity and exposure are really well done, and especially the panning on the last- but for me the first had that, plus -was truely unique, and stands above the crowd for that – Incredible Detail Scott !
While I appreciate all of the photos, the one of the ant is the most intriguing. It’s the photo that shows me something different, something I’m unlikely to catch through the lens of my own eye.
I’m more fearful of ants now! Straight out from Animal Planet. Way to go Scott!
The ant photo is incredible.
The photo of the ant is absolutely incredible. The image captures what the human eye cannot see from above ground level. Magnificent!
Wicked! Is this guy a pro?
I’ve been doing battle with these little buggers all summer…now that they have a FACE I will be forced to unseal the brown sugar and honey nut Cheerios and just let them have at it. Thanks for improving my Karma and ruining my kitchen cupboard…the power of a well taken photograph…
Wow, that landscape photo is absolutely beautiful. I love the shadows and the sky.
I wish I could vote for all five. Really fine work.
I like the Portrait Boy, it’s beautiful, look at his eyes!!!…it’s really a good picture.
What gracious comments! And some of these people I didn’t even PAY to say such nice things. All these shots are just great, and it’s an honor just to be nominated. (I guess those stars really mean it around Oscar time.) I wish everyone could see ants through the eye of a macro lens. It’s so much harder to mindlessly crush these guys underfoot once you stare them in the face. I absolutely tread more lightly these days. (As for the question about being a pro…definitely not! I’m struggling and learning right along with everyone else.) I’m so touched by the positive response. Humbling! I love Scott Roeben’s shot.
The warmth of the eyes speaks to my soul.
Scott Roeben’s ant is very unusual.
I am not sure wether the ant knew how to pose or Scott’s Artistic eyes.
I love kids but that ant scares me.
I will see it in my sleep.
Sales Dude, this was one of the nicest ants I’ve met. It actually baked me a loaf of bread and gave me a backrub. Nothing to be afraid of, promise.
They’re all really good but I’m partial to that RED CAR vRRRRROOOOOOM!
I really love the portrait of the boy. Shannon really captured the innocence of the child looking forward to the future. Great work!
ME ENCANTA LA FOTO DE LUIS JAHN, ES UNA EXELENTE TOMA
Red car for the win.
I LOVE all of the pictures. I’ve only been at it for 5 months. Photography has quickly become my life’s passion. My photo being acknowledged means I’ve already won as far as I’m concerned. THANKS! I feel amazing. 🙂
I totally agree Kate, just to have one of my photographs up here with these other amazing images is crazy to me :)!!
It was a tough one but I voted. They were all really good. I would be curious as to what type of gear / any technique used on these pictures. None the less, I am inspired to learn and do better. =)
realmente la foto de luis jhan es una toma exelente, es una imagen ,uy bien tomada, es verdederamente "fantastica"
