Based on the true story of Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell

Warning, spoilers after the preview….

The book is excellent and I am glad they made it into a movie because it is not only about war, but making extremely tough moral decisions in the face of self danger. For those of you who haven’t read the book and wont; Marcus and 3 of his team members were sent to gather intelligence and or assassinate a certain Taliban Commander. In the middle of the operation, a group of young goat herders stumbled upon them and the team was forced with the choice to either kill the young men, or let them go, which if they did let them survive, would bring a small Taliban Army against them. They chose the latter and what ensued was one of the most both mismatched and spectacular firefights I have ever heard about . I wont ruin it, but one of them ends up with the Medal of Honor.
