I have hesitated to disclose this, but it was so freaking sweet and you my beloved Blog readers are probably some of the only people who would understand the significance of it, so after a month of hesitating, I decided to share.
Ive been really lucky to have met some cool people through the photography school. One such person is Dave Cross, he works for The National Association of Photoshop Professionals and is one of their top 3 or 4 instructors. I had received a ton of traffic from his blog and he had made a really nice post about the school.
When I first developed my Lollipops, I needed a way to market them, so I chose the top 8-10 Photographers or Photoshoppers I knew of and sent them a copy of the set. My hope was they would try them out, like them, and mention them in their blogs or to their friends. To the best of my knowledge, none of them used them and I hadn’t heard anything back after sending them. It was quite a bummer, but I just moved on and continued to work on my videos and other projects.
So, last month, during Photoshop world, there I was, sitting in on one of Dave’s Classes. I introduced myself to him between sessions, but I dont think he remembered me, which also left me feeling a little bummed. On the other hand, he probably has dozens of people trying to meet him between classes, so it may have not been a big deal to him.
During the next class, which was packed by the way (I would estimate 1500 attendees), he started talking about Actions. While he was discussing them, he opened his action folders, I’m not sure if it was intentional or not, but there it was: MA Lollipops 2.01…My action set!!!
