Drove up to Idaho this afternoon to spend a day with one of my best friends Warren and his family (and a shoot tomorrow!). For all of you who have one of my training DVD’s, you will recognize this adorable little girl- as she is on it. I was showing her mom, Kearsten some new things and she grabbed this shot which I just loved and wanted to show how I process images now.
Warren is a great friend, he helped me get my first DVD going and is a great person to be around because he reciprocates my positive energy / plans. Ive noticed that it is very important to surround yourself with people who believe in you and give off positive energy. Looking forward to trying my new creative ideas at his families shoot tomorrow.
michael, how did you get this shot? what were the specs? did you photoshop it at all? how did you make the sides so dark?
Hey, George…not sure if you have a Photoshop version that uses actions, but that vignette effect is one of the actions offered free at http://thepioneerwoman.com. I’m not affiliated with that site. It’s just another great resource, like Michael’s.
thanks, scott. i really like the pictures on the front page. i will have to check it out more in depth. thanks a lot!!!
It was taken with a Canon 24mm Prime at 1.4. The Vignette was done in RAW, it has one of the best viggys Ive seen, I will be showing how to do this on the Photoshop DVD.
