When I first heard they were remaking the Karate Kid, one of my top 5 beloved movies of all time, I asked myself “Why? The Karate Kid is about as close to perfect as you can get as far as movies go.” I am still asking myself this very question. Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan both did very well in their performances and overall it was decent, but either the lack of originality or the attitude of “hey that’s a good idea let’s straight up copy it” bothered me. The original is still much better. If your kids haven’t seen the first one, I would recommend that one before this.

Sorry Shiff, I can’t see this movie as a remake. Ralph Maccio or nothing. I will give A-Team a try, but my expectations are low.
I completely agree, it was a very organized and great shot movie buttttt the original is the best overall. Theres no way to replace it whatsoever, it would be like trying to remake 16 candles or the breakfast club with zac efron and hilary duff. it just wouldnt cut it.
Plus its Actually not "Karate" Kid..it’s "KungFu" Kid
