Michael has been at the Tokyo airport for a little over a day now. He was set up to go to the city of Sendai with a group from the UK however, the Japanese government is not allowing any non government rescue teams into these areas. Even though the government did allow rescue teams to arrive in Japan.
Michael is waiting for the Salvation Army to arrive, once there he will make a decision to travel up North with them.
However He is ready to travel south on a Bullet train to the City of Kobe. He will wait there for 2 to 3 days while the reactor situation gets clearer.
Some good news is that a translator is coming to Japan to aid Michael, this will make it easier for them to move around and travel as not everyone knows English.
I am not up to date with Michael’s reason for being in Japan, or why some people are being negative toward him being there, but I want to send you positive thoughts, safe keeping and appreciation for your helping me with photography and the ways you must be helping others !
Thank God for the self sacrifice of all those who have gone before and those who go now to risk health and heart so that we can sit in comfort and peace if only to defame the honor of these men and women. I fought in two wars alongside many to provide you Scott and Joey the very blanket of freedom of speech you enjoy. I honor your right with the blood of those with whom I served, but I ask your indulgence to keep any negative comments about Michael or anyone else who serves in Japan or elsewhere in what manner they can to help others in need. Fair winds and following seas Michael. May God bless your service and protect you and those in your care.
