Hope you all had a great 4th of July. I am very, very grateful and proud to be an American and especially for all the sacrifices paid by so many people both past and present for the blessings I enjoy. My good friend Ashley came out for the weekend and we have been hiking and having a lot of fun. I’ve also been testing out a new Durashock Point and Shoot Camera, all of these images came from it.
Hiking with Ash (love this shot of her)Today we decided to go to Hana, but first stopped off at the Black Sand beach. It was my first time there and I have to say it was pretty incredible. The sand really is black! Is essentially crushed volcanic rock. (I think)Then we went to the 7 Sacred Pools, and for only the second time I have visited they were letting visitors swim. (It always seems to be closed due to flash flood warnings). There was a lower pool that was full of people, but Ash and I climbed up to one of the upper pools and we had it all to ourselves for at least 20 minutes before a few others followed behind us. Something I love about this particular camera I am testing is that it is pretty much shockproof as well as waterproof. Makes great for taking pics underwater falls. 🙂
I hope everyone else had an equally great 4th of July!
I googled Durashock camera and there are no results. What is this, is it waterproof like a gopro camera or something? I know gopro is very popular where I live.
Got a website or any more info?
Thx!
Glad you had a great time! I love the black sand beach. Have you been to the green sand beach also? (It’s the most southern point of Hawai’i on the main island)
Hi Michael, so so cool to see in your pictures, some of the places I have now been to…!!!
