Nearly every single professional photographer I know owns this lens, also referred to affectionately as the “nifty fifty”. Excellent in low light with a maximum aperture of 1.4, beautiful Bokeh. It is small, light, compact and relatively inexpensive. (The 1.2 version costs 5x more). Because it is so small and light, it is a GREAT low light travel lens. Truth be told, I tend to use my 1.4 more than my 1.2 these days and cannot recommend it higher.
