Day 2 in Port-AU_Prince, we were able to work with Salvation Army to get some food for distribution. We are working on visiting places to distribute the food as well as get more distributions. We are safe and with the team, Matthieu, our driver Isnik and their cousin as well. We are expecting a very busy day on Monday as well as the rest of the week.
Below is a picture of some of the food that Salvation Army gave us to distribute. However we also found other food that was available but was getting spoiled.Lots of baby food however it is spoiled. Baby Food that getting spoiled from waiting to long.

It’s so tragic that the food is there, ready to go and it spoils because they aren’t moving it to where its needed. What’s the point of having food sent if the powers that be are not doing anything with it?! I know, I know…enter Michael the Maven.
Had those jars passed their expiration date before they were shipped??? It doesn’t seem like they should have spoiled that quickly. What a waste. How sad.

I am glad to hear that ya’ll are getting some of the food out to the kids. My husband was there a few weeks ago on a medical mission trip and noticed the amount of supplies that were just stacked up at the airfield and not going anywhere. Good luck and stay safe.
I presume there is no refrigeration available. What a shame! Good intentions gone awry.
