Is that straight off the camera or did you do some post production?
Was this shot taken as a raw image?
Yes, this particular shot started as a RAW file, though the look can be done in JPG with the right lighting. I added some contrast and a little noise. The strange effect you are seeing is that there were 2 flashes used to create the shot, one on camera and the other sorta behind the girl in the black dress. Shutter speed was a little slow at 1/60, if you look at his hand you can see it, and this gives it a blurry effect. I usually only recommend RAW to advanced users because it is often used as a crutch to correct improper camera settings. Once you are completely comfortable with your camera, then is a good time to start learning RAW.
