Minsk 2016. DroneLapse from zweizwei |timelapse&hyperlapse| on Vimeo.

The most exposure most Americans have to the capital of Belarus is from the show ‘Friends’. Phoebe’s love interest David is sent to Minsk for science research and there’s running jokes on the show about how isolated, cold, and miserable it is.

Photographer Artem Sergeevich combined timelapse and drone photography to create this beautiful work. The technique is being called “dronelapse”. Unlike David on ‘Friends’ silly portrayal of Minsk, this video shows a vibrant and modern city full of life and color. It’s a great watch!
