Recently I have picked up a huge craving for Chick-Fil-A, which what I think is probably the best fast food chain EVER. Their food is healthy and it tastes awesome (ok…maybe their shakes arent so healthy, but DANG!! that are the best!!).
When I get into heavy editing, scripting or planning, it isn’t uncommon for me to wake up, work pretty much all day, with the exception of working out at least once (sometimes twice) and making a Chick-Fil-A run, I usually buy enough to last for a few days. This might go on for 2-3 weeks. (It’s surprising how much is involved in a video production from start to finish).
I am particularly found of Chick-Fil-A salads which are about 170-200 calories (yes you read that right, including chicken!) just make sure you get the light Italian dressing or as you might have guessed Buffalo Wing Sauce (I think it tastes great on salads) and its still hardly any calories at all. If you are trying to lose some weight, but still want great tasting fast-food, you might want to look into the Salads (not the chicken strip one-lol) Chick-Fil-A
…and they’re also closed on Sundays, which I think is awesome.
Yea Karen, but I always crave it on Sunday!
Michael – was this your iPhone on the counter?
They are building a new one in Northport where the Blockbuster used to be on McFarland next to Kmart…you better believe I am going to be one of the first ones through the door…
Thanks for the link. I have been wondering about Chick Filet’s nutritionals. I love their food, but their menu is super-loaded with sodium. The chargrilled chicken and the one with fruit contains 860mb of sodium. That is more than 50% of my daily allowance. The "wraps" are even worse: the sodium content ranges in the 1500’s and with 1600 mg total allowance of daily sodium intake…not really a viable option unless if I only eat that ONE meal per day. Now I know why they taste so good!! 🙁
this is interesting- I wonder how their nutritional info stacks up against something like….McDonalds or Burger King? If I am not mistaken, most fast foods are loaded with not only sodium, but fat as well. Some burgers can have 50+ grams of fat, which is something I personally would be more worried about.
