Aaron (04.26.10, 2:28 PM): I think Dad employed a tactic like this and perhaps still does. He told me that if he has a pool he doesn't like to clean (for any number of reason, difficult customer, dogs in the pool etc) he simply raises the rate until he likes cleaning that pool. If they let him go because the rates were too high, well that is okay because he didn't like cleaning that pool anyway. He makes them say 'no' or fork over the dough equal to the task.
