Made it today to Atlanta for tomorrow’s Canon workshop on using the 5Dii (and 7D) to shoot HD video. Class will be instructed by Vincent Laforet, he’s the guy who shot the AMAZING untreated video with the camera when it first came out. Really looking forward to it, I have a small list of questions for the Canon reps regarding both the 5Dii and the 7D, will pry for info on the 60D.
Is there anything you guys want me to ask the Canon reps? If I get your questions before noon tomorrow, Ill do my best to ask. 🙂

I guess this is obvious but will there be an updated 5D in the future? Enjoy the class! =)
1-Please ask if a Non-Canon higher mAH battery can not be used in the 7D and show battery charge status, is that the same case if the Non-Canon mAH batteries are used in the 7D Battery Grip? When shooting speed/action events I go for the largest mAH I can get my hands on. Really sad to hear they are making it so we can not see the battery capacity.
2- Are they aware of the slight green tint to the 7D images vs 5DMkii at higher ISO and will there be a fix?

Kelly- 1- Canon cannot comment on other manufacturers hardware. (My advice here would be to just by the Canon brands, price has come down on them significantly). 2- The reps I spoke to said they cannot comment on firmware or product updates until they are officially released by the company.
