Engadget has a quick review of the new firmware for the Canon 7D. Its a quick little read, but if they had their hands on it to test it, it means the update is coming very soon. The manual audio gain controls are LONG overdue. We have been waiting for this update for 3 years .

Got updated mine. I have to be honest, I was surprised when this came to my attention, but am pleasantly so. I have so many features I really haven’t accessed on this camera. It has inspired me to go back and work through all it can do for me.
