There is a very interesting interview with Canon’s Masaya Maeda (Managing Director of Imaging at Canon) over on Dpreview…In the article he mentions some very interesting things:
1. The 70D, which should be a 1.6x crop body if it follows the pattern of cameras before it (think 10d-60d) is definitely coming.
2. The future of DSLRs is Full Frame. Expect more full frame models from Canon in the future.
3. Very hard to find a market for large sensor compacts (like the mirrorless M), despite its huge success in Asia.

I’ve been waiting to move up to a 7DII and now I am wondering if there ever will be one. I’ve got somewhere around $2,700.00 wrapped up in a few EF-S lenses and I’d really like to continue to use them along with my EF lenses.
