Catcalling can be a very uncomfortable situation to witness. I’m sure for the woman on the receiving end it’s a little worse than that. In an interesting photographic series a young photographer has turned the lens of her camera on her “admirer’s”. Some blogs have been calling the project “My Harasser’s” but the artist doesn’t care for that title. She doesn’t want the project to come from an aggressive point of view but rather a social observation.
The photos are taken just moments after the men catcall her. They range in their composition, lighting, framing, etc. and are actually a very interesting series of urban portraits.
