Glass
There really hasn't been much playing in the last few weeks, but Glass was something I wanted to see since Split.

If you are a fan of Unbreakable you are already going to watch it. It is one of my top 20 favorite movies of all time, though the pacing (editing) is just a touch slow. Felt the same with Glass.
Sometimes I feel like M. Night Shalyman is really good at taking a single incredible idea and spreading it around his dinner plate to make it seem bigger than it is, the opposite of a child who didn't want to eat something would to make it appears as if there is less. The exceptions to this were 6th Sense (his homerun), Unbreakable (also Amazing), and Signs was very, very well written. It was DEEP. Loved that movie.
Im a big fan of him and always will be- he is so talented, but sometimes his arrogance gets the better part of him. This was in full force in The Village, the first time I was actually upset with his writing. I felt betrayed. Too many times it was, the Cry Wolf of movies, "Believe this....no just kidding, believe this instead...no just kidding believe this instead...." It was all downhill after that with the Happening, The Lady in the Water, etc.
Im happy to say, I didn't get that vibe with Glass. One of his best in a long time. It felt very low budget to me, but still very well done.
