What is so controversial or offensive about these images/ads? I have no idea. But they've received so much negative attention they've been pulled.
Fairlife, a Coca-Cola owned company, has been in the headlines lately having launched an expensive new brand of milk. Sounds weird to begin with but I guess they thought with proper marketing they could do it. (It's not that different than very expensive bottled water.)
They chose these award-winning images from photographer Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz. The suggestion is that when attached to a product considered wholesome and important to human development (i.e. nutrition) the feminist community (among others) got upset. Now the ads have been pulled. They view it as objectification of women.
The innovation and creativity of these photos, especially when you consider the bland product being promoted, is undeniable. I guess Mr. Wieczorkiewicz and Fairlife are going to have to consider another route.
