Awesome Time Lapse of Burning Man Festival
In the middle of Nevada's Black Rock Desert there is an annual week long festival called Burning Man. With over 50,000 attendee's the event focuses on self-expression and self-reliance. You must bring all shelter, food, and water to sustain yourself during your stay. Another important factor is the idea of "leave no trace" policy which encourages attendee's to completely clean up their space before leaving as if they had never been there. The event is a celebration of music, art, and community.
This year photographer Jason Phipps climbed 1,888 feet to the top of Old Razorback Mountain to capture a truly beautiful time-lapse video. 50,000 people from all over the world gathering in the middle of nowhere to light up the night like some kind of alien city is quite a sight.
