Larry Burrows has become known for his iconic images of the Vietnam war, and in many opinions was the best of his time as a war photographer. I remember seeing many of his images in books growing up as a child, but have only recently come to know who he was and the amazing risks he took to get these shots. Burrows was killed when a helicopter carrying him and several others went down over the Jungles of Vietnam.
Time has put together a great article and his more famous images and it is absolutely worth checking out. The emotion of his subjects and raw energy of his war shots are second to none.
