The work is going well on the Big Island. The Salvation Army is responsible for feeding about 300 displaced victims, 3 times a day. We are focused on partnering with local food vendors to support their business, so its wins for all. Sometimes the vendors can cater the meals, sometimes we need to help move the food. The box we are carrying in this picture is called a “Cambro”, it’s an insulated food carrier and simplifies moving it from point A to point B. We won’t take pictures from the shelters, but this should give you an idea of some of the work we are doing here. There are many great agencies working together and I’m very proud to be part of it. #prayforpuna #salvationarmy #bigislandThe work is going well on the Big Island.
