Canon has announced a “Hollywood” event on November 3rd, 2011. Whatever it is, it looks to be pretty big in that it is a “historic global announcement”. Here is the promo image that is floating around the internet:
That said, there is another announcement coming next week, September 22nd 2011, a Pro Product launch, which Digitial Rev has been invited to. Word on the street is that the September 22nd announcement will probably be more geared towards the release of a new dSLR and lenses, and the Hollywood event more towards something completely new and is somehow connected to movie making.
For now, September 22nd is the date we want to watch. I am hoping for the 5Diii (its been 3 years now since the release of the 5Dii)
It could also be that the rumour on the new 7D II is about to get a fact? Who knows?
The 5DIII is on the horizon!? Why does it seem like as soon as I get something paid off (like the 5DII and the 70-200) Canon releases the next model.?! Will I ever have enough "L" glass to go with the best technology? 🙂
