Webster’s Dictionary 2013 word of the year; selfie. Designer Lorna Barnshaw has taken our favorite 2-D photo subject into the 3-D realm. Using a combination of free apps on her iPhone, scanners, and printers, Lorna has printed some very interesting self portraits. They really do look like science experiments. Some of the images sort of look like the remains of a mummy or something of that nature. She felt shooting them in full color added an element of realism to them that black and white shots couldn’t offer. I agree.
