When I was growing up, I loved to watch a TV show called “Lost in Space”. If I recall correctly, it took place in 1999 and was about a family that was sent off to explore space (they turned it into a movie a few years ago). While “Lost in Space” was way off…check this out, it’s a clip from a film called 1999 A.D. It was shot in 1967. Hmmmmmmm

OMG.. it’s amazing that not only do we have all that, but what we have is sooo much more high tech than that!! so cool.
I also remember thinking as a kid: "One day in the future, we will have telephones we can carry around with us everywhere, even outside. They will be so small they will fit in our pockets, and we will be able to call anyone in the world."
Notice that Dad had 3 different monitors…..kinda freaky to think: This is essentially a prediction of the "windows"concept, different windows of work for each computer.
I remember in High School a visiting scientist from Bell Laboratories predicting video cell phones by 2000 – that was in 1966 !
He was wrong about one thing though, he said everyone would be issued a phone number at birth, maybe like a SSN. What a dolt!
