Nick (07.02.11, 8:27 PM): Yes good L glass will outlast any Camera body. The 9 year old Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS original is 9 years old and still commands $1400-$1500. Canon has gone through a dozen bodies since then. The only commet I have is the 24-70f/2.8 is a fantastic lens on a full frame. i still think for crop body shooters the Canon 17-55 f/2.8 IS is a better choice as 24mm isn't that wide on a crop body,
