The trailer for BBC One and PBS production "Spy in the Wild
" is only 30 seconds long but gives us a pretty good idea of the premise. In order to capture wildlife footage like never before the filmmakers created realistic animatronic cameras. Never really suspecting anything funny about their new friends the animals carry on in their natural behavior uninterrupted by human presence.
Apparently one episode will show a group of langur monkeys stricken with grief when they think their newly accepted animatronic baby falls to its "death". According to the website they created various "spy creatures" including a hippo, orangutan, bushbaby, cobra, sloth and many more. If you're a nature lover is show will definitely be for you. If you're a camera lover it should be interesting to see how they accomplished this and what gear they used.
If you're interested in tuning in the 5-part series will air on Wednesdays, February 1 – March 1, 8-9 pm ET on PBS stations. You can check out the website HERE
