Panasonic GH4 vs Canon 5Diii - Portrait Tests

Production UPDATE: The GH4 Crash Course tutorial training video is finished and it is now available as a download:
Panasonic GH4 Tutorial Training Download

Im putting the new & amazing Panasonic GH4 through the paces as we prep to do a Crash Course Training Video on it. Wonderful, amazing mirrorless camera. I have read a lot of different reviews regarding key features, and how other mirrorless cameras are slowly killing off the traditional DSLR. It has some real, true strengths, like 4K in camera video recording, super light weight, touch monitor, etc. Canon and Nikon need to be on alert, Panasonic is bringing their A Game. $1600?? Just wow. It does however have some limitations and I am running some tests to discover some of it's weaknesses and I have found a handful.

One of the questions I got early on was if I thought it would make a good Portrait Camera and after a shoot this morning, & based on what I have seen I would put in a B or B+ range with equivalent focal length lenses against a full frame. Really outstanding. For most everyone, it is going to be an extremely good portrait camera, full time pro's however are probably going to have at least some reservations, and it will mainly be with the DOF, it is not as easy to get those super buttery backgrounds we are used to on cameras like Canon 5Diii without some terrifically wide open lenses that I haven't gotten my hands on yet.

I should note, the GH4 doesn't have RAW file support on LR or PS at this time, so it is hard to know what can be squeezed out of them until it is updated.

Take a careful look at these SOOC images below and tell me what you think! (SOOC = Straight Out Of The Camera). I have not edited them in any way, and have resized them to be proportionately large.
