These days National Geographic is the industry standard for amazing photography. Apparently back in it’s infancy some were not too pleased with the direction it was taking. Several society members were upset about photographs being printed as they felt photographs cheapened it’s image. Thankfully for all of us it didn’t matter. The publication pressed on with it’s incredible imagery giving glimpses of cultures and nature most would never have seen otherwise.
