All of us know the beauty and wonder gazing into a clear night sky can offer. Our perspective has always been from here on earth. The beautiful constellations with their familiar patterns and movements. A not so familiar thought is what they would look like from space.
Astronomer Karen Nyberg has been on assignment aboard the International Space Station since May. She's scheduled to be earthbound again on November 10th. During her assignment, from her lofty perspective, she's been snapping incredible images of our planet and the constellations and sharing them via social media. Her photos give a perspective that only few will ever experience.
