Sent in by a good friend and is circulating around the internet- This is a really incredible picture for many reasons: It was taken in 1918 at Camp Dodge, Iowa and 18,000 men fashioned the shape of the Statue of Liberty . One thing you will notice, that the front is only a few men wide, but because the shape is so LONG, more men are needed to give the appearance of thickness towards the head and torch. Hard to believe that 12,000 of the 18,000 are in the torch alone!
